WORLD PREMIERE - COMING SEPTEMBER 2016
Left quad. Right quad. Lunge. A girls indoor soccer team warms up. From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, the team navigates big questions and wages tiny battles with all the vim and vigor of a pack of adolescent warriors. A portrait of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for nine American girls who just want to score some goals.
Sarah DeLappe’s play The Wolves (Clubbed Thumb/Playwrights Horizons Theater School, Great Plains Theater Conference) was a recipient of the American Playwriting Foundation’s inaugural Relentless Award and a finalist for the 2016 Susan Smith Blackburn Prize. NEW YORK PREMIERE - COMING FEBRUARY 2017
Agatha sits and crochets. Sternly. With an iron will. Her sister Huldey writes in her diary, desperately waiting for someone to ask what she is writing about. The dog, a giant mastiff, stares despondently into the fireplace and thinks about how meaningless everything always seems to be. A riff on the lives and works of certain 19th-century novel-writing sisters, The Moors is a dark, contemporary comedy about love, power, and our longing to be seen.
