You like? We’re always looking for extra eyes, ears, hands, and minds—attached to bodies, ideally—
so here’s how you can get involved:
Submit a Script!
If you wrote a play and you’re dying to have us read it, then you’re in luck. We love reading new plays that have not yet had a professional production in NYC. We’ve gone paperless – it’s the 21st century, people – so please don’t send hard copies. Email a ten-page sample with an introductory email (or as they used to call it a cover letter) to email@example.com.
Apply to be Writing Fellow!
The exception to our ten-page sample submission format is our Writing Fellows application process. To apply to be a Writing Fellow, we ask for: a completed application form (that we'll make live closer to the application window); a theatrical resume; a full draft of the play that you wish to develop during your time with the Realm; and references. Our submission process opens up in the spring and often closes around the beginning of May.
Collaborate with Us!
We're always on the lookout for collaborators who are excited about bringing new work to the stage.
Directors: Invite us to your next reading or production – even if we can’t make it, an invitation is a great way to keep us in the loop. No need to submit a resume. Email the invite to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Designers: Please send a link to your portfolio to email@example.com
Actors: We work with a casting director to find actors for our annual Off-Broadway productions. However, if you would like to be considered for a staged reading, please email your headshot and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Intern with Us!
Some of our best artistic debates happen around the coffee pot as we’re working on the nuts and bolts of running an Off-Broadway theater company. If you’re interested in gaining experience and know-how with theater nerds like us, please email a cover letter, resume, and your availability to email@example.com.
You can reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
